Nebraska's starting wrestlers remain dominant
By the Lincoln Journal Star
Nebraska’s four returning starters — Jordan Burroughs (157 pounds), Stephen Dwyer (174), Craig Brester (197) and Tucker Lane (heavyweight) — all looked dominant in winning all their matches in the team’s annual wrestleoffs at the Devaney Sports Center. Junior Alex Ward led the Huskers in victories, going 3-0 at 165. Junior-college transfer Mike Koehnlein recorded wins by pin and technical fall at 141, and true freshman C.J. Napier beat Ridge Kiley twice by decision at 133. The Huskers open the regular season Nov. 15 with a 1 p.m. dual against Wisconsin at the NU Coliseum.
